How does Pinjo work?
Pinjo is a Windows-based SMTP client/server service which is installed between the internet and your SMTP server.
It protects you of all those unsolicited emailmessages, using spam-blacklistservers and several other features. It analyses every incoming mailmessage for being spam. You can either install it on a dedicated server or combine it with any windows-based mail server.
I have a question where I cannot find it in FAQ.
I am running pinjo in the same machine as my mail server with not problems.
Sometimes pinjo is stopping receive messages without any specific reason and I need to restart the service .
While pinjo is not working the emails are going to my backup mx record.
The problem is when I have issue with my mail server and pinjo trying to forward messages then messages cannot be deliver and I lost a lot emails .
Is there any solution on that ?
Did pinjo store the non deliverd emails somewhere or pinjo can retry to deliver this emails later ?
The normal process of delivering messages is that, after the message is checked, it will be forwarded to your mail server. If that server is down for some reason should get an error on trying to connect to that server. That error is returned to the sending server and in that case the sending server should queue the mail and try again later.
So in your case it seems as if something is going wrong with the connection to you mail server. If you check the console at that time, do you see any messages there? Upon attempting to connect to your mail server?
